In the information age, the fundamental act of learning is being redefined. Children as young as seven years old are capable of searching for information on the Internet. This is changing the role of schools and teachers from knowledge providers to knowledge facilitators— engendering an environment of learning and scaffolding the students’ acquisition of knowledge, values, notions, and habits.
Teachers of today are not only expected to ensure that children have a strong command of the content, but they also shoulder the responsibility of inculcating in the students the ability and aptitude toward learning itself.
Most educators, hamstrung by the traditional teaching paradigms, are thus being challenged to upskill and grow into their new roles. Knowledge Synonyms has approached this challenge with a two-pronged strategy. We partner with schools to develop custom programs to retrain the teachers while redesigning school curricula to help them redevise their approach to the process of learning itself.
KS recognizes and asserts the urgency for a transformed education system for our children to grow into lifelong learners, capable of evolving with the changing trends and coping with the novel technological and economic challenges.
