Our client is a Regional Healthcare provider with over 100 years of history in North America, conducted a manual annual competency assessment process to validate clinical competencies every year between May and September. The client had approximately 5000 nursing staff that took part in the annual competency assessment.

In March 2020, COVID-19 changed the operational landscape of the client, requiring the need for virtual competency assessments.

KS Solution

Knowledge Synonyms, along with one of its reseller partners, positioned the EasySIM® platform to the customer with the assurance that manual assessments could be conducted digitally using our platform and completed by September 30th, in time for the annual performance review process.

What began as four Acute Care Nursing Assessments for a three and half months period turned into 34 Competency Assessments that included targeted audience versions and new assessments for OB/GYN Pre- and Post-Labor, Pediatrics, Pediatric Emergency Department, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Services, CNAs, and Respiratory Therapists. In total, 4,900 clinical nursing staff, CNAs, and specialty units were all deployed between August 3 and September 2020.
